William Henry Patrick O'Neill

William Henry Patrick O’Neill, 76, of Scott Twp., died on Thursday at Regional Hospital, Scranton. His wife is the former Theresa Gorton. They were married over 40 years.

Born in Scranton, he is the son of the late James and Mary Joyce O’Neill and was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. He was employed by New Home Venetian Blinds for over 20 years as a plant manager. Bill was a Major in the U.S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed painting, yardwork, traveling and his love of his Irish heritage.

He is also survived by one brother, James O’Neill and wife, Mary Ann; one step-son, Leroy Baumgardner and wife, Rosemary; two step-grandsons, Leroy Jr. and Bryce Baumgardner; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and several nieces and nephews.

A blessing service will be held on Monday at 10AM at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant. Rev. Scott P. Sterowski will officiate. Friends may call from 9AM until time of service. Interment of cremains will follow at Valley View Memorial Park Cemetery, Scott Twp.
