It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Thomas Jude “T. J.” DeBlasio, who departed this world in his Philadelphia home on March 8, 2025. T. J. was born on April 21, 1993, in Elizabeth, NJ and raised in Olyphant, where he made lasting memories that would define a life filled with warmth and joy.
T. J. was a proud graduate of Mid Valley Secondary Center, Class of 2011, and later earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Temple University. His professional journey led him to Fraser Advanced Information Systems in Philadelphia, where he contributed his talents and dedication.
An enthusiastic athlete, T. J. cultivated a passion for sports from a young age, forming lifelong friendships along the way, beginning with Olyphant Little League and Olyphant Lions Football. He played baseball, basketball, football, and track during his time at Mid Valley, excelling in track where he proudly captured the District title and placed 8th in the State competition. His competitive spirit shone brightly in every game and event he participated in. T. J. had a warm, infectious smile that could brighten any room. He was kind-hearted and spent a lot of time with his brother and best friend, Zachary. Together, they enjoyed going to concerts, especially those of the Disco Biscuits and shared a love for music.
T. J. is lovingly remembered by his mother, June Fedorchak DeBlasio of Landing, NJ; his father, Thomas J. DeBlasio, and stepmother, Candice, of Waymart; his sister, Heather “Lil’ Mommy” Inman and brother-in-law Shane Inman of Somerset, NJ; and his cherished brother, Zachary “Best Friend” DeBlasio of Philadelphia. He was also a beloved grandson, nephew, cousin, and a proud uncle to Shane Carter and Ella Inman. He also leaves behind his paternal grandmother, JoanAnn Payne DeBlasio of Tinton Falls, NJ; his maternal aunts and uncles: Joy Fedorchak Diamond and Stanley Diamond, Amy Conforti, Lynn and Russell Posyton, Jill Fedorchak; paternal aunt and godmother, Christine Errico; and many cousins.
Preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, William Fedorchak Jr. and Arlene M. Cibula Fedorchak, and his paternal grandfather, Gaetano DeBlasio.
To honor and celebrate T. J.’s vibrant spirit, family and friends are invited to gather at the Hudak-O'Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant on Monday, April 21, from 2 to 5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in T. J.’s memory to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Foundation, P.O. Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178-1352.
T. J. will forever remain in our hearts, a shining example of kindness, love, and enthusiasm for life.
