Rose M. Blair 93, of Olyphant, died on Friday night at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles G. Blair who died on June 15, 1994. They were married on May 26, 1952.
Born in Manville, NJ she resided in Manville and Somerset most of her life before moving to Olyphant to be with her daughter. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Simon Wass and was schooled in the Manville Public School System. Rose enjoyed coloring and seek-a-word books.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Blair, Scranton and a daughter, Cheryl Blair and her partner, Tom Drakes, Olyphant; three grandchildren: Michael, Brian and Jennifer; one great grandson, Orion; one brother, Joseph Wass, Manville, NJ; many nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death three sisters: Mary Gecik, Betty Michalowski and Margaret Strokus and one brother, Steve Wass.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to the staff of PHHC Hospice, Dumore for their excellent care for Rose and her family.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours due to Rose’s wishes.
