Richard Youshock, 61, of Jefferson Township died on Tuesday at home. He is the son of the late Stephen and Shirley Havrilak Youshock. Born in Bangor, Maine he lived in Jefferson Township for over 20 years. Prior to that he resided in Olyphant. He was a graduate of Mid Valley High School, Class of 1978. He served in the Army after high school stationed in Germany as a fixed station technical controller. He was an avid “Outdoors Man," with an unstoppable love for hunting and fishing. Ricky loved being “up the woods” in the middle of hunting land. He had a quick wit and was happy to be able to put a smile on your face. He was a beloved father who adored his children Sarah and R. J. He is survived by a son, Richard “R. J.” and wife, Kristina of Dickson City; a grandson Dean; two sisters: Eileen Evanina and husband, John, Olyphant and Sharon Zator, Olyphant; one brother: Stephen, Jr. of Jefferson Township. He was also preceded in death by his beautiful daughter Sarah and brother, Joseph. Committal services will be held on Wednesday at 11AM at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery Chapel, Gino Merli Drive, Peckville. Fr. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor, will preside. Interment will follow.
