Joseph M. Masko Jr. of Scott Township, died on June 6, 2022 at home. His wife is the former Audrey Kelly. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on June 5th.
Born in Scranton, he is the son of Ann A. Wharton Masko and the late Joseph M. Masko, Sr. Joe was a graduate of Mid Valley High School and Penn State University. He retired from Specialty Records/WEA Manufacturing IT Department in 2004, after 20 years. He then went to work for the PA Department of Labor and officially retired in 2017.
Joe died a loved and respected man. He was hardworking and always helpful to those who needed guidance. His laugh was easy, deep and infectious, especially when recalling his childhood and teenage years. Joe very much enjoyed and appreciated the simple things in life, like coffee, reading the newspaper, cutting the grass and watching sports. He loved spending time and sharing meals with family and pets. There wasn't any person or pet that didn't love him and his gentle spirit. He was a great son, brother, husband, father, uncle, friend and neighbor. He saw the best in people and always believed in their goodness. Joe will always be remembered and forever missed.
