Joseph Rocco Barone

Joseph R. Barone, 89, formerly of Bronx, New York passed away on December 10, 2021 at Mountain View Care Center, Scranton. His wife was the former Marion Rath. They were married for 20 years. Born in Bronx, New York on May 16, 1932, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Teresa DeLuca Barone. Joe has resided in Olyphant for the past four years. Joe served in the U.S. Air Force as a radar mechanic. He was employed in the food industry as a machine mechanic. He is survived by sons, Roy and Robert Green; daughters, Tammy Green and Deborah Trotter; grandchildren, Stephen, Alyssa Rose Green, Gabriella, Elizabeth, and Johnathan Green, Joseph and Jessica Braun, Danielle Hennessey, and Matthew Montes; great-grandchildren, Amyaha and Ava Johnson. Family and friends are asked to remember Joe and Marion throughout the holiday season. A celebration of life service will be held for Joe and Marion at a later date.
