Jean Ann Howarth, 89, of Scott Township, entered her eternal resting place on Sunday morning at Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her husband Harold E. “Tex” died on February 9th. They were married for 68 years.
Born in Peckville, she resided in Scott Township for most her life. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Olga Fedorchak Pish and graduated from Scott Township High School.
Jean had a wonderful life alongside her forever love, Tex. They enjoyed many trips and cruises with friends. Her zest for life allowed her to stop at nothing; she always kept going. Easter bread, piggies and her tall marigolds didn’t stand a chance of stealing her heart when it came to her great grandchildren, her true loves. The sun from her gazebo is eternally shining on her back keeping her warm.
The family would like to extend a loving “thank-you” to Dr. Brenda Goodrich.
Jean is survived by her son, Harold E. Howarth, Jr. and wife, Mary Ann of Scott Township, daughter, Debra J. “Coop” Howarth-Plishka and husband Joseph of Baldwinsville, NY; six grandchildren: Nicole Plishka, Krishelle Keen, Jonathan Plishka, Lindsey Frenchko, Jennifer Plishka and Ret. SSgt Harold Howarth III,; eight great-grandchildren: Gracyn Keen, Annabelle Conway, Cooper Keen, Noah Conway, Lahna Frenchko, Faye Plishka, Emerson Frenchko and Isaac Johnson; a sister and brother-in-law, Marlene Rose and Joseph Toczydlowski, Scott Township,; several nieces and nephews.
