Dolores S. Stickler, 93, of Scranton, died on Sunday evening at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. Her husband, Eugene I. Stickler, died in 2000.
Born in Scranton, she was formerly of Baltimore, Maryland and York before moving back to Scranton. Her parents were the late Millard F. and Clara Scott Spangenberg. She was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and attended the University of Baltimore, formerly Baltimore College.
She retired as a systems analyst for the Social Security/Medicare Administration with 30 years of service. Dolores enjoyed gardening and reading.
She is survived by a niece, Linda Kneisel; two nephews: Fred and John Kneisel; a great nephew, Nelson Kneisel and a great niece, Valerie Kneisel.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Delna Avery and Dorothy Kneisel; two nephews: James E. and Joseph Avery; one niece, Clara Jean Kneisel.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday at 1PM at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriotsville, Maryland.
