David J. Beckage

David J. Beckage, 67, a resident of Scott Township since 1978 passed away on Friday afternoon. He is survived by his wife, Diana Benasutti Beckage, happily together since 2006.

 Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Stephen and Julia Billets Beckage. David was a graduate of Mid Valley High School, class of 1976. He was employed by Cable Associates, Inc., Archbald and was a member of the American Legion Post 665, Dickson City. He enjoyed hunting, cornhole, tinkering, Christmas, and spending time with his dog, Axel.

 Also surviving are his son: David Beckage and partner, Kaitlin Santana of Jefferson Township; three stepchildren: Josh Perch and wife, Amanda of Philadelphia, Jason Perch of Peckville and Justine Perch and partner, Jake Hohenstein of Norristown; four grandchildren: Ayden and Kaylee Beckage, Elijah Santana and Henry Perch; two sisters: Deborah Yantorn of Justus and Beverly Burkhart of Montdale; a brother, Bobby Widdick of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his two brothers: William Widdick and Stephen Beckage.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 5p.m. to 8p.m. at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
