Christopher Butler, 55, of Olyphant died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Dec 24 2024. His wife is the former Tina Edgington.
Born in Scranton, he resided in Olyphant most of his life. His parents were the late Philip and Patricia Repetto Butler.
Chris was known as Mr. Personality or Mr. GQ. He was the best dressed everywhere he went. He was a storyteller like no other and he had an infectious laugh. If anyone crossed paths with him, their lives were all the better for it. Most of his friends called him “Butler.”
Chris was a member of the sprinkler fitter union 669 for over 20 years. He had a huge love for hunting, fishing and golfing. He was a huge fan of Penn State and the Dallas Cowboys. He was an amazing pop and he loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He is also survived by two sons: Christopher and wife, Serene of Philadelphia, Shane and fiancé, Alicia of Archbald; step-son, Cameron Klugh and his companion, Emily of Plains; two step-daughters: Ashlee Klugh and her fiancé, Matt of Nanticoke and Britni Edgington and fiancé, Joe of Plains; five grandchildren: Vaida, Liam, Lucas , Jayce, and Andrew; a sister Erin Jackson and husband, Tom of Olyphant; and nieces and nephews: Ty and Abbey Jackson, Frankie Holod and Brandon Butler. He will be greatly missed by all.
He was also preceded in death by his brother, Philip.
Family and friends may call on Saturday from 1 to 3PM at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.
