Joseph Ksiazek, 85, of Scranton, died on Monday evening at Allied Services William Warren Center, Scranton, where he was a resident. Born in Olyphant, he was the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Ksiazek. The family would like to extend a special thank-you to his Allied Family and Dr. Nicholas Dodge for their love and care of Joe over the years. He is survived by two sisters: Ann Syryla, Olyphant and Lorraine Taylor, Peckville; a sister-in-law, Florence Ksiazek, Florida; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins. He was also preceded in death by three sisters: Helen Rupar, Mary Urban and infant, Katherine and two brothers: John Ksiazek and infant, Michael. Memorial Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 9:30AM at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 200 Delaware Avenue, Olyphant by Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor. Interment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, Blakely. The family requests that donations may be made in Joe’s memory to Allied Foundation for the William Warren Center, 475 Morgan Highway, Scranton, PA, 18508. There will be no calling hours.
