Patrick J. O'Shea

Patrick J. O'Shea, 80, of Mt. Cobb, PA and Vero Beach, FL died on Friday, October 28^th at the home of his sister in Vero Beach, FL surrounded by his family. He was the loving husband of the late Winifred "Wini" M. Canny O'Shea for 52 years who died in 2009. They were married on June 29, 1957.

Born in New York, New York, he was the son of the late Patrick and Margaret "Peg" Callan O’Shea. He was a graduate of Cardinal Hayes High School, Bronx, New York and attended City College of New York.  He retired in 1978 as a Lieutenant with the New York City Fire Department and also retired as a Major from the New York Army Reserve National Guard with 20 years of service. 

He is survived by three sons: Patrick “P.J." J. and wife, Donna Hudak-O'Shea, Olyphant, Denis A. and wife Theresa "Terry" Griffin O'Shea, Lake Ariel and William "Bill" C. and wife Barbara Meiss O'Shea, Matthews, NC; son-in-law Bradley Field, Clifton Park, NY; eight grandchildren: Kenneth, Zachary (wife, Rachel) & Ryan Field, Ashley Miranda (husband, Jonathan) & Patrick, IV and Callan, Riley and Ella Grace O'Shea; two great grandchildren: Nathan Miranda and Annabelle Field; three sisters: Catherine Englehart, Margaret Curry and Mary Warner; a sister-in-law, Evelyn O’Shea; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Catherine and Thomas Liston; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen A. Field; brother Robert O’Shea; brothers-in-law: John Stanzione, Frank Curry and Eric Warner.  Also, sisters and brothers-in-law: Patricia and Edward Meehan, Mary and Frank Strcich and Dennis Canny.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the family home.
