Donna Marie Novak

Donna Marie Novak, 63, of Dickson City died on Tuesday at home. Her parents were the late Harry & Elizabeth “Betty” Cucura Taylor.  Born in Olyphant, she resided in Dickson City most of her life. She was a 1971 graduate of Mid Valley High School and was most recently employed at St. Joseph’s Center as a caregiver and prior to that Cinram. Donna was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and aunt; her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She liked animals and had a special passion for abused animals, which was evident by her dog, Emma and her many Facebook posts. She is survived by two sons: Brian R. and Kevin R. Novak, both of Dickson City; one daughter, Jennifer M. Remetta and husband Chad A. of Clarks Summit; one sister Cheryl E. Damiani and husband Daniel T. of Jessup; two grandchildren: Aiden and Kaylee Remetta; two nieces: Elisa Dennis and Janel Semanision; and her former husband, Robert Novak, New Hampshire. Funeral services will be on Friday at 7:00PM at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant with Fr. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Greek Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be private in the parish cemetery.
