James B. Thompson, 44, of Blakely, died unexpectedly on Friday at home.
Born in Scranton he previously resided in York, returning to Blakely four years ago. He is the son of Joan Harrington and the late Robert Thompson. He attended Valley View Jr./Sr. High School and graduated from York Technical College.
He was employed by Pexco in Clarks Summit for the past four years and prior to that, New Standard in York.
Jimmy was a kind and loving son and a loving and devoted father, who was very proud of his son, Anthony "A.J." and the man he has become. He loved playing guitar, motorcycles, Nascar racing and special time spent with A.J.
He is also survived by a son: Anthony James "A.J." Thompson, York; two brothers: Robert Thompson and wife, Kerri, Scranton, Steven Thompson, Jessup; one sister, Donna Johnson and husband, Barry, Hop Bottom; an aunt, Carol Alvord, Clarks Summit; and several cousins.
He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Jack Harrington; paternal grandparents, Henry and Martha Thompson; maternal grandparents, Walter and Elizabeth Andrews.
Funeral Services will be on Thursday at 6:30PM at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family at Tompkinsville Cemetery.
