Lottie T. Terry, 92, of Scott Twp., passed away on Tuesday at VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her husband, Joseph, preceded her in 2000. They were married for 53 years.
Born in Eynon, daughter of the late Anthony and Victoria Zalopa, she attended Archbald schools and moved to Scott Twp. in 1958. Lottie was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, Olyphant. A loving mother and grandmother, she loved homemaking, cooking, crafting, crossword puzzles, reading and enjoyed traveling with her husband.
She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Carole Gelker and husband, Peter, California; and Judith Norris and husband, Thomas, Cromwell, Connecticut; five grandchildren, Chris and Jeffrey Pleasanton, Matthew Williams, Elizabeth Arnot and Abigail Ambruoso; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center for their care of Lottie, and a special thank you to her new friends, the staff and residents of Clark Summit Senior Living, for making the time she spent there, very engaging and comfortable.
Divine Liturgy will be held on Saturday, November 7th at 10 a.m. at SS. Cyril and Methodius Greek Catholic Church, River Street, Olyphant, by the Rev. Nestor Iwasiw, officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery, in Peckville.
Friends may call on Friday, November 6th at 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant. Parastas will be held at 6 p.m.
