Patricia Gensiak

Patricia Gensiak, 69, of Olyphant, died on Monday at home.  Her husband, Stanley, died on March 30, 2004.  They were married for 37 years. Born in Scranton, she resided in Olyphant most of her life. Her parents were the late Thomas P. and Anne M. Boyan Gatens.  A 1964 graduate of Clarks Summit-Abington High School, she also graduated from Empire Beauty School and was the owner of Illusions Beauty Salon in Daleville.  Trish was an animal lover who also enjoyed cooking, crocheting and reading.  Since her husband's death,  her constant companion was her cat, "Sammy." She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley and Kim Gensiak and Jeffrey and Sandy Gensiak; one daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and Jim Jones; seven grandchildren: Kristen, Shane and Daniel Gensiak, Jacqueline Keating, Kaitlyn, James and Kelsey Jones;  two great granddaughters:  Madelyn and Avery Keating; one sister, Terri Kilker; one brother: Robert Gatens; several nieces, nephews and over 100 first cousins. She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie and Stanley Pascoe  and a brother, Kevin Gatens. Funeral services and interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours at Trish's request. In lieu of flowers mass cards may be sent to the funeral home.
