Ann J. Stankiewicz, of Olyphant, died on Friday morning at home. She is survived by her husband, John J. Stankiewicz. They celebrated their 45th anniversary last July 21st. Her parents were Stanley and Mary Kosik Buchinski.
Born in Dickson City, she was a resident of Olyphant for the last 45 years. She was a graduate of Dickson City High School and a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Olyphant.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. A very caring and giving person, she dedicated herself to her family. Her grandchildren were her life.
She is survived by three sons, John J., Mark and David, all of Olyphant; four sisters, Theresa York, Dickson City, Rita Simpson, Arkansas, Alice Szymanski and Helen Cane, both of Jessup. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Buchinski and two sisters, Barbara Novajosky and Mary Bellinger.
The funeral will be held at 9AM on Monday from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Mass will be at 9:30AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Lincoln Avenue, Olyphant. The Reverend Kenneth Kizis, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call on Sunday from 3 to 6PM at the funeral home. Christian wake services will be held at 3PM.
