Lucille G. Dolan, Olyphant, died Thursday at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. She was the wife of Joseph J. Dolan who died in 1985.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Gertrude Adams Dougherty, she resided in Olyphant most of her life. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Olyphant and a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and the Hoyt School of Practical Nursing.
She was very talented with crafts and enjoyed her needlework. She was also and avid reader and a history buff. A loving mother and grandmother, she adored her grandchildren and her memory will be in their hearts forever.
Surviving are two daughters: Mary Lou Smith, Mt., Cobb and Nancy Rabel, Peckville; a son, Joseph J., Ransom Twp.; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters: Carol Pappas, Claire Burns and Ann Bennie.
The funeral will be Monday at 9AM from the Hudak-O'Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant with mass at 9:30AM in St. Patrick's Church, Delaware Ave., Olyphant to be celebrated by the Rev. Phillip J. Sladicka, pastor.
Interment St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
Friends may call Sunday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM. A christian wake service will be held.
