Joseph J. Zywicki, 84, of Peckville, died on Monday at Asera Care Hospice at MidValley Hospital, Peckville. His wife is the former, Dorothy T. Shander. They would have celebrated their 58th anniversary on September 29th.Born in Olyphant, he resided in Peckville for over 50 years. His parents were John and Philomena Frydryk Zywicki. He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Olyphant and a graduate of Olyphant High School.He retired from Amoestat, Scranton .He is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law; Ronald J. of Peckville and Joseph J. and Margaret of Nazareth; 3 grandsons, Rian, Joseph III and Robert; also nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Stanley, Anthony, Philip and Rev. Francis Zywicki and two sisters: Edna Reda and Sophie Greskovic.The funeral will be at 9AM on Wednesday, from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant, with Mass at 9:30AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Olyphant. The Reverend Phillip J. Sladicka, pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Dickson City.Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
