Mary L. Fumanti of Olyphant, died on Sunday morning at VNA Hospice Unit, Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. Her husband is Thomas S. Fumanti. They celebrated their 38th anniversary on August 23rd.Born in Scranton, she lived in Olyphant for most of her life. Her parents were Alan and Sarah Crothomel. Educated in Scranton schools, she was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant and was involved with the Family Support Group of the 109th Infantry Regiment, Scranton. She retired from Harper & Row, Dunmore, with 28 years of service.She loved knitting and crocheting and enjoyed collecting angels. Mary was very fond of her two dogs, Buttons and Maggie.She is also survived by one brother, David Crothomel of Gouldsboro; one aunt, Jean Williams of Florida; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.The funeral will be held at 9AM on Tuesday from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Mass will be at 9:30AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Delaware St., Olyphant celebrated by Fr. Phillip J. Sladicka, pastor. Interment will take place in the parish cemetery.Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home.
