Marilyn Carr, 72, of Lake Ariel and formerly of Taylor, died on Monday at Mercy Hospital, Scranton. She was the daughter of the late George and Margaret Tannler Miller.Born in Taylor, she was a graduate of Taylor-Moosic High School, Indiana University of Pennsylvania and Temple University. She was a teacher for the Philadelphia School District before becoming employed and retiring from NEIU, where she was a special education teacher and later went into administration. Marilyn enjoyed her quilters club and was very fond of her Maltese, Abby.She is survived by two sons: John and George Carr, both of Lake Ariel and three grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Fields.Funeral Services and Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
