Allan Mashie

Allan Mashie, a lifelong resident of Dickson City, died Monday at AseraCare Hospice at Mid Valley Hospital, Peckville.His parents are Martin and Eleanor Lebida Mashie.  He was a graduate of St. Mary’s School, Dickson City, and a 1971 graduate of Mid Valley High School.  He was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Church, Dickson City and a former member of the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.A loving son, brother, uncle, nephew and cousin, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.  He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.  He was surrounded by his parents and family at the time of death.Also surviving are a sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Brien St. James, Lake Tahoe; a brother, Gordon Mashie, Cresson; a sister and brother-in-law, Lana and Daniel Berkosky, Taylor; four nephews: Brandon, Ross, Jared and Justin; a niece, Jordan; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.Funeral services will be on Wednesday at 10AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM in St. Mary of the Visitation Church, St. Mary’s Square, Dickson City.  Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.Friends may call today, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9PM.  Christian wake services will be held during this time.  The family requests memorial contributions be made to AseraCare Hospice, c/o Mid Valley Hospital, 1400 Main St., Peckville, PA, 18452.
