Stanley Kaminsky,71,of Carbondale died Thursday at the home of his son Stephen after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Eynon, PA. He was the son of the late Stanley Kaminsky and Mary Kosiba Kaminsky Narbut and the stepson of Joseph Narbut. He graduated from Fell High School in 1955. He was of the Catholic faith and belonged to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Carbondale and most recently St. Pius X Church, Royal, PA.He loved live to the fullest and always put family and friends first. He was self-employed in the salvage business with his son Stanley. He believed in hard work and always taking care of business. Anyone who dealt with him knew he was a man of his word and his handshake meant that the deal was done.He found great comfort in knowing he was passing into the loving arms of his mother. The family wishes to express special thanks to his daughter, Sabina, for her devotion and great care that she provided throughout his illness.He is survived by his wife Madalyn Dempsey Kaminsky, Clifford, PA., 2 sons, Stanley and wife Theresa, Greenfield Twp., PA and Stephen, Lakeside, PA., and a daughter Sabina Daye, Windsor, NY., 2 sisters, Ann Marie Rinkers and husband, William, Fallston, MD. And Joann Gonzalez and husband, John, Churchville, MD. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.A private service is planned.
