Madylon C. Kimble, 98, a resident of The Willow Brook Assisted Living, Clarks Summit for the last three years died Wednesday at Mercy Hospital, Scranton. Her husband of 46 years, Lt. Col. Joseph P. Kimble, died in 1979. He was an employee of The Scranton Times.Born in Scranton, she resided in Dickson City for 40 years. Daughter of the late Martin and Agnes O’Malley McDonough she was the last surviving of 14 children. She attended Scranton schools and was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant.She was a marvelous cook and loved gardening in her yard. Over the years she became extremely fond of her family’s pets.She is survived by her daughter, Judie Sokoloski, and husband, Joseph, Peckville; two granddaughters, Brandy Sokoloski, Peckville and Tracy Sokoloski, Dickson City; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by 5 brothers: Joseph, John, William, Frank and Martin; 4 sisters: Agnes, Gertrude, Marie and Helen; and 4 infant siblings.The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30AM at St. Patrick’s Church, Delaware Avenue, Olyphant. Rev. Thomas M. Muldowney, pastor, will officiate.Interment will follow at Cathedral Cemetery, Oram St., Scranton.Friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8PM at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.
