Irene M. Feduchak, 85, of Blakely, died on Thursday at Allied Services Skilled Nursing, Scranton. Her husband, William G. died on April 20, 2003. Born in Dickson City, she resided in Blakely most of her life. Daughter of the late, Charles and Viola Swartz Swenski, she was a graduate of Dickson City High School, a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Church, Dickson City and a former member of their Christian Mothers Society and a member of the Shopa Davey VFW Post 6082 Ladies Auxiliary. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she loved to bake for her family.The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of VNA Hospice and Allied Services Skilled Nursing for their excellent care.She is survived by two daughters: Linda Ruffini, Bradenton, FL and Gail M. Jakes and husband, Leonard, Gouldsboro; one son, William G. and wife, Barbara, Blakely; 6 grandchildren: Leah, Heather, Krista, Rick, Greg and Alexa; one great grandson, Grey; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Jean Sniegocki, Elizabeth Gitto and Marcella Butler and 3 brothers: John, Charles and Clement. Funeral services will be held at 8:45AM on Monday from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30AM at St. Mary of the Visitation Church, St. Mary’s Square, Dickson City by Msgr. Patrick J. Pratico, pastor. Entombment will follow at the parish mausoleum. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 5PM at the funeral home. Christian Wake Services will be held during this time.
