John S Kolosinsky Jr.

September 10, 1946 — April 13, 2009

John S. Kolosinsky, Jr., 62, of Dickson City, died Monday morning at Mercy Hospital, Scranton.  His wife is the former Karen D. Satkowski.  They would have celebrated their 22nd wedding anniversary on June 26th.Born in Peckville, he resided in Dickson City for over 20 years.  Raised in Olyphant, he was the son-of-the-late John S. and Martha Swierczek Kolosinsky, Sr. and a graduate of Olyphant High School, Class of 1964.  He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, Olyphant.He was employed by Laborers Local 130, Scranton, with over 35 years of service.An avid hunter, he was a member of the Grizzly Sporting Club, E. Ararat.  He also enjoyed his yearly trips to Las Vegas.An Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal and was a rifle marksman.  He was a member of the VFW Post 5544, Jessup.He is survived by a brother, Gerald J, Olyphant; 2 nephews: Christopher J. Kolosinky, NM and Cody Bettachini, Dickson City; two nieces: Erica Stotler and Jessica Kleinhans, both of VA.The funeral will be held at 9AM on Thursday from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.  Mass will be at 9:30AM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Lincoln Avenue, Olyphant.  The Reverend Thomas M.
