Florence Delores Jurkiewicz

Florence Delores Jurkiewicz, 91, of Olyphant, died on Sunday night at home.  She was the wife of Francis J. who died on December 13, 2002.  Born in Olyphant she was a lifelong resident.   Her parents were the late Joseph and Kathryn Ogorzalek Kulick.  She was a member of Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant and attended St. Michael the Archangel School, Olyphant.  She was employed by Sudan Modes, Olyphant, for 22 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her.  She enjoyed going out for breakfast and shopping. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Nancy Mattioli and  Donna Colburn; also, Jacqueline Powell, Catherine Kennedy, Shirley Wheeler, Georgiann Levy and Ann Marie, all from  Mercy Hospice. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara K. Checefsky of Jessup; one son, Francis J. of Dickson City;  one brother, William Kulick of Olyphant; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Henry and Joseph Kulick. The funeral will be held at 9AM on Thursday from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30AM at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Delaware Avenue, Olyphant.  Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Dickson City. Friends may call on Wednesday from  5 to 8PM at the funeral home.  For directions or on-line condolences, please visit: www.hudak-osheafuneralhome.com.
