Andrea H. Kausmeyer, 65, a lifelong resident of Throop, died on Saturday at home. Her husband, Joseph F. died on January 5, 2009. They were married 43 years. Born in Throop, she was the daughter of the late, Rudy and Elizabeth Hudak Zuraski and was a graduate of Throop High School. She enjoyed gardening, yard sales and flea markets and loved her cat, Punkin. She is survived by three sons: George Zuraski, Peckville; Joseph “Rocky” Kausmeyer and wife, Michele, Scranton; and Andrew Kausmeyer, Pittston Twp.; one daughter, Judith Strein and husband, Fred, Scranton; one brother, Richard Zuraski, Blakely; one sister, Patsy Jenkins, Jessup; two sisters-in-law: Margie Kausmeyer, Springbrook Twp. and DeeDee Stolarik, Throop; 6 grandchildren: George and Jessica Zuraski, Eric, Dustin and Brianna Strein and Jamie Catalano and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Toby and John Zuraski. Funeral services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
