Peter Gloss, 82, of Allied Terrace, Scranton, died on Monday at Northeast PA Hospice, Scranton. His wife, Barbara Murcko Gloss died on July 2, 2000. They were married for 29 years.Born in Throop, he resided there most of his life. His parents were the late John and Mary Bykowska Gloss. He was a graduate of Throop High School and a member of St. Mary’s Visitation Church, Dickson City.He was a member of the U.S. Naval Reserve.He was formerly employed by Consolidated Molded Products, Scranton as a machinist and later Jaunty Fabrics, Scranton.He enjoyed gardening, cooking, canning, fishing and hunting.He is survived by one son, Marc Murcko, Throop; a grandson, Stephen Murcko, Olyphant; two brothers: Walter, Long Island, NY and John, Parkville, MD; a sister, Mary Gerrity, Clarks Summit; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.He was preceded in death by one sister, Ann Kory and five brothers: Stanley, Frank, Joseph, Paul and Chester.A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9:30AM St. Mary’s Visitation Church, 1090 Carmalt St., Dickson City. Msgr. Patrick J.
