Catherine A. “Kitty” O’Malley, formerly of Olyphant and Dunmore, died Wednesday at Lackawanna Health and Rehabilitation Center, Peckville following a lengthy illness.Born in Olyphant, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Amelia Pasko O’Malley.Kitty was a graduate of St. Michael the Archangel Grade School and St. Patrick’s High School, Olyphant. She received a Bachelor of Science degree from Marywood University in 1992. She retired from Bell Telephone/AT&T where she had been employed in both staff and management positions for more than forty years.During her years in high school, Kitty was both a cheerleader and a consistent honor student. While working at AT&T she regularly volunteered both her time and her support to a variety of charitable causes which include: the Women’s Resource Center, the Marian Convent at Marywood University and the Community Medical Center. She had a tremendous respect for the Sister Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the women, past and present, who have been part of it.She will be missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.She is survived by her caregiver and cousin, Attorney Stanley W.
