Olga Voros, 99, of Olyphant, died on Monday at VNA Hospice @ Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her husband was the late Stephen F. Voros.Born and raised in Olyphant, she lived in Detroit, Michigan from 1941 until 1975 and returned to Olyphant in 1975. Daughter of the late Simon and Mary Krenitsky Hoynak, she was a graduate of Olyphant High School and trained at Little Flower Hospital in New York City for nursing. She was formerly employed at Endicott Johnson Shoes, Olyphant and Kresge’s Department Store, Detroit.She enjoyed riding the bus, trips to Atlantic City and crocheting.She is survived by a son, Kenneth Voros, Allen Park, Michigan; two sisters: Elizabeth M. and Rose M. Hoynak, both of Olyphant; many nieces and nephews.She was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen F. who died on August 3, 2011; two brothers: Peter and Stephen Hoynak and a sister Ann Farbanish.Private graveside services and burial will be held at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Blakely.
