Sharon Oprishko, 62, of Olyphant, died on Saturday morning at Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton. Her husband is Michael J. Oprishko, Jr. They were married on August 11, 1973.Born in Carbondale, she was raised in Clifford and was the daughter of the late Peter and Anna Chelik Barna.She was a graduate of Mountain View High School and was employed by Cinram, Olyphant, retiring with 26 years of service. She enjoyed trips to the casino, shopping on QVC, camping and throwing parties.She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.She is survived by 2 sons: Michael J., III and wife Laurie of Scotrun and Kevin of Pittsburgh; 1 daughter: Christina of Archbald; 4 grandchildren: Mackenzie, Madison, Emma and Jessie; 2 sisters: Darlene Sweeney of Clifford and Gloria Widzon of Forest City; several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Barna.Funeral services will be on Tuesday at 9AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant. Divine Liturgy will follow at 9:30AM at Ss. Cyril & Methodius Greek Catholic Church, River St., Olyphant. Fr. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor will preside. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 7PM at the funeral home.
