Margaret D Pociask

Margaret D. Pociask, 89, of Olyphant died on Satruday morning at Green Ridge Healthcare Center, Scranton.  Her husband, the late Louis S., died in 2011.  They were married for over 65 years and resided in the Olyphant Flats since their marriage.Born in Dickson City and raised in the Bronx, New York, her parents were the late Stanley and Ann Adams Demboske.  She graduated from a New York City High School and worked and retired as a Bell Telephone Company operator for 40 years.She was a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant, Catholic Golden Age Club and American Legion Raymond Henry Post #327 Ladies Auxiliary, Olyphant.  She enjoyed taking bus trips with her beloved husband, Louis, to the Atlantic City casinos.She was a loving wife and will be missed by her family and friends.The family would like to thank the entire staff of Green Ridge Healthcare Center,  with a special “thank-you” to April, for their care of Margaret.She is survived by a brother, Stanley, Massachusettes; two sisters-in-law: Sophie Petrone and Emily Moskalczak; two brothers-in-law: Edward and Steve Pociask; nieces and nephews, including her namesake, Margaret Ann Bell, Tennessee; her best friend, Eleanor Strony and her caregiver, Ann Marie Seasock.She was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Bell and two brothers: Thomas and Joseph Demboske.Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 9AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant.  Mass will follow at 9:30AM at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Delaware St., Olyphant.  Msgr. Michael J.
