Bonnie L. Galea, 51, of Eynon and formerly Olyphant, died Friday at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Galea. They were married on June 2, 1990.Born in Scranton, she resided in Eynon since 1990. Her parents were the late Leonard and Eleanor Plocha Comonie Sr. She was a 1980 graduate of Mid Valley Secondary Center, Olyphant. Bonnie was employed by Americold, Gouldsboro, and previously, Specialty Records, Olyphant. She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Peckville, was formerly active as a cheerleading adviser for the Valley View Bulldog football cheerleaders and enjoyed making crafts.A loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend, she was a person who would go out of her way to do things for others. She had a very strong will and was compassionate.She is also survived by a son, Nicholas; a daughter, Briana, both at home; three brothers, Leonard Comonie Jr., Olyphant; Geno Comonie, Browndale; and Paul Comonie, Olyphant; a sister, Barbara Burda, Scranton; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.A blessing service will be held Monday at 8:30 a.m. in the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant, by Monsignor Peter P.
