Loretta Craig

Loretta Craig, 88, of Dickson City, died on Friday at Geisinger-CMC, Scranton.  Her husband William R., Sr. died in 2004.Born in Duryea, she was a lifelong resident before moving to Dickson City 15 years ago. Her parents were the late Mr. & Mrs. Michael Verchuk.  She was former member of Holy Rosary Church, Duryea and presently, Holy Cross Parish, Olyphant.  She was educated in Duryea schools.Loretta was a seamstress and worked in the local garment industry.She is survived by two sons: Richard, Clifford Twp. and William, Jr., and wife, Karen, Olyphant;  3 grandchildren:  Maggie, Jennifer and William; two sisters-in-law: Carol Craig, Buffalo, NY and Betty Thornton, Old Forge; numerous nieces and nephews.The funeral will be held at 11AM on Tuesday from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30AM at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Delaware Avenue, Olyphant.Entombment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.Friends may call on Monday from 6 to 8PM at the funeral home.For directions or on-line condolences, please visit www.hudak-osheafuneralhome.com.
