Raymond G. Krauser, 73, of Peckville, died on Saturday morning at VNA Hospice at Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. He is survived by his wife, Susan Joy.Born in Mocanaqua, he resided in Peckville for the last three years. His parents were the late Raymond Henry and Mary Charnitski Krauser. Ray had a B.S. from King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, and received his master’s degree from Anne Arundel Community College, Maryland. He was a retired history teacher at Anne Arundel Middle School in Odenton, Md., for more than 40 years. After retirement, Ray worked as a mental health counselor in Florida for four years.A longtime Baltimore Ravens football fan, he was a volunteer baseball, football and basketball coach and an animal lover. Ray was very interested in politics, and truly enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters, telling them stories.He is also survived by three daughters, Daria, Donna and Tracy; a son, Erik; a stepson, Eric; five granddaughters, Courtney, Madison, Ryan, Reese and Raelan; two sisters, Therese and Anne Marie; and many cousins, including Frank, whom he thought of as a brother.Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home Inc., 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant.
