Joyce Hopkins Wilding of Archbald, died on Friday at Regional Hospital of Scranton.  Her husband of 62 years, is Henry Wilding.Born in Olyphant, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Kathleen Quinn Hopkins and step-daughter of the late Roman Swierczek.  She attended St. Patrick’s School, graduated from Olyphant High School, Lackawanna Business College and St. Mary’s School of Practical Nursing as an L.P.N.  She worked at Keystone City Residence and St. Joseph’s Center.  She retired after 32 years working for NEIU #19 in the Special Education Department.She was a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, Olyphant, the Ladies Rosary Makers of Olyphant and Mid Valley Golden Age Group.  She was an avid Yankee fan who never missed a game.The family would like send a heartfelt “thank-you” to Greenridge Healthcare and Regional Hospital nursing staffs and aids for the dedicated and compassionate care for their mother.She is survived by 5 children: Debbie Priorielli and husband, Lou of Olyphant, Kim Nichols of Scottsdale, AZ, Renee Tomcho and husband, John of Olyphant, Patrick of Olyphant and Michael and wife, Phyllis of Dunmore. Six grandchildren: Shawn, Tomara, Patrice and John Wilding and Quinn and John Henry Tomcho; two great grandchildren: Lola Mae and Sidney Wilding; nieces, nephews and cousins.She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas, a grandson, Michael John Wilding and a brother, James Hopkins and wife, Mary.Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 9AM from the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Avenue, Olyphant.  Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 9:30AM at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 200 Delaware Avenue, Olyphant. Msgr. Michael J. Delaney will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Blakely.Friends may call on Tuesday from 5 to 8PM at the funeral home.Contributions may be made in her memory to Special Olympics, Area P, 151 State Rte. 848, New Milford, PA, 18834.For directions or to leave online condolences visit www.hudak-osheafuneralhome.com.
