Eleanor Mashie, 85, of Dickson City, died Wednesday at home. Her husband, Martin, died on Jan. 10. They were married for 62 years.Born in Dickson City, she was a lifelong resident and a graduate of Dickson City High School. Her parents were the late Stanley and Agnes Jantos Lebida. She was a member of St. Mary of the Visitation Church, Dickson City, and the Christian Mothers. She was also a member of the Mid Valley Women’s Club, the Red Hatters and the Stork Club, a private women’s club.She worked in home healthcare for many years, and was proud to be sought after by many families in need of her wonderful caretaking.Eleanor was a loving and giving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who truly loved being with, and doing for, her family. She loved nothing more than to cook and bake her delicious meals and goodies for them.She is survived by two daughters, Gail St. James, Lake Tahoe; and Lana Berkosky, Dickson City; a son, Gordon, Pittsburgh; four grandsons, Brandon, Ross, Jared and Justin; a granddaughter, Jordan; and many nieces and nephews.She was also preceded in death by a son, Allan; six brothers, Stanley, Edward, Joseph, Walter, Chester and Leonard; four sisters, Mary Kosydar, Helen Yezierski, Sophie Crea and Jean Pruzinsky.Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. at the Hudak-O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant. Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. St. Mary’s Visitation Church, 1090 Carmalt St., Dickson City. Monsignor Patrick J.
