Anna May Misiura, 95, of Olyphant died Tuesday morning at Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center. Her husband of 55 years, Casimir Misiura died April 20, 1995.Born on January 6, 1920 in Olyphant, she was the daughter of the late Kornel and Theodozia Matruniack Klem, she was a graduate of Olyphant High School, and a member of Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s church. A homemaker most her life, Anna May enjoyed crocheting and quilting. She was an avid cook, maintaining a large garden at home where she would can many vegetables. She loved to bake, cook excellent ethnic foods and was an avid Bingo player sharing many games with her daughters and friends.The family would like to thank Dr. Rajan Mulloth and his staff for the years of compassionate care. They would also like to thank the staff on C1 at Lackawanna Health and Rehab Center for the kindness and care throughout the last years Anna May’s life.Surviving are a son, Michael Misiura and wife, Mary, Allentown; two daughters: Patricia Judge and husband, Jim, Scott Twp. and Barbara Pettigrew and husband, John, Peckville; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by seven brothers John, Walter, Peter, Michael, Andrew, Paul and Stephen; two sisters Rose Karst and Kathryn Nickras.Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Parish at St. Patrick’s Church, 200 Delaware Ave, Olyphant, Msgr. Michael J. Delaney, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at St. Michaels the Archangel Cemetery, Blakely.Friends attending the funeral are asked to go directly to church.Friends may call Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Hudak- O’Shea Funeral Home, 115 Garfield Ave., Olyphant.
